SECTION 8: The Star Studded Actioner with Ryan Kwanten, Scott Adkins & Dolph Lundgren is Acquired by AMC+ & RLJE FILMS!

We finally have some release news for the highly anticipated action pic Section 8 which boasts a star studded cast in Scott Adkins, Dolph Lundgren, Ryan Kwanten, Dermot Mulroney and the always interesting Mickey Rourke.

According to the new press release, the action film has just been acquired by AMC+ and RLJE Films and is set to debut in theaters as well as AMC+ this September 23rd. To go along with the announcement, we have a new image of star Ryan Kwanten from the film below!

“Section 8″ centers on a former soldier who is sent to prison for life after he avenges the murder of his wife and child. There, he’s recruited by a shadowy government agency for an off-the-books assignment and the promise of regaining his freedom. The film stars Ryan Kwanten of “True Blood,” along with Dolph Lundgren (“The Expendables”), Dermot Mulroney (“Hanna”), Scott Adkins (“John Wick: Chapter 4”) and Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke (“The Wrestler”).

Christian Sesma (Every Last One of Them) helms the pic which was written by Action-Flix mainstay Chad Law along with Josh Ridgway who also directed the film High Moon starring Chad Michael Collins.

LOS ANGELES, July 12, 2022 — AMC Networks’ premium streaming bundle AMC+ and RLJE Films, a business unit of AMC Networks, have acquired the action film, SECTION 8. It will be released In Theaters and AMC+ on September 23, 2022.

Written by Chad Law (Drive Hard), Josh Ridgway (Howlers) and directed by Christian Sesma (Vigilante Diaries), SECTION 8 stars Ryan Kwanten (“True Blood”), Dolph Lundgren (The Expendables), Dermot Mulroney (“Hanna”), Scott Adkins (John Wick: Chapter 4) and Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler).
