Fans of the hit martial arts drama Warrior got stellar news a while back when it was announced that the Cinemax series would indeed get a third season even though the cable station was halting production on original series.
Bruce Lee foundation president and daughter of the legendary martial arts star announced on Sunday that the third season has commenced filming as of July 18th to celebrate the legacy of Bruce Lee who passed away on July 20th. You can check out the special announcement video below!
The show had been canceled after two seasons on Cinemax but WarnerMedia announced in April of last year that the show would return on HBOMAX and the first two seasons are already streaming on the service.
Warrior is based on the writings of Bruce Lee and takes place during the 19th century when the Tong wars filled the San Francisco streets with blood and broken bodies. Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins Star Andrew Koji , who will aldo be seen in this August’s Bullet Train, stars as Ah Sahm who is a Chinese martial arts master on a quest to find his sister.
Also starring along with Koji are Kieran Bew, Celine Buckens, Olivia Cheng, Dianne Doan, Dean Jagger, Langley Kirkwood, Maria-Elena Laas, Hoon Lee, Christian McKay, Dustin Nguyen, Miranda Raison, Chen Tang, Joe Taslim, Jason Tobin, Joanna Vanderham, Tom Weston-Jones and Perry Yung.
There was word that Mark Dacascos would be joining the series but WarnerMedia has not made any official statements regarding new cast additions.
