Yes everyone, it’s another post about another movie starring Frank Grillo. The man simply doesn’t take vacations and if he does, they’re nothing more than long weekends at best. The man is simply a machine in the industry.

Well, Deadline is reporting that Grillo along with fellow action star Michael Jai White have enlisted for a new spy actioner called MR-9. Bangladesh born actor ABM Sumon (Dhoka) will play the lead titular role while Grillo is said to be paying an antagonistic secret agent who is a nemesis of his. Details below!

Writer-director Asif Akbar’s spy action-thriller is based on the popular Masud Rana novels written by late novelist Qazi Anwar Hussain. Plot details are being kept under wraps but we understand Grillo will play the nemesis of secret agent Rana — code name MR-9 — of the Bangladesh Counter Intelligence Agency.

Also starring are Matt Passmore (Jigsaw) along with additional cast members including Sakshi Pradhan (Poison), Niko Foster (Army Of One), Omi Vaidya (3 Idiots), Oleg Prudius (Wolf Warrior 2), Jackie Siegel (The Queen of Versailles), Anisur Rahman Milon (The Last Thakur) and Shahidul Alam Sachchu.

One important note is that Grillo’s Remy Grillo will make his professional acting debut with this one. Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Dhaka, and Bangladesh are the territories that the film will be shot at.
