The new witch is upon us, and she is now loose in the world as Well Go USA has officially unveiled a brand-new trailer and key art for the upcoming follow up to the Korean action-horror flick The Witch 2: The Subversion. The sequel is titled The Wich 2: The Other One and it sees a mysterious girl emerging bloodied and bruised from a secret facility after a blood splattered raid has decimated dozens in its wake. Being hunted by the powers that be who want her back, the girl befriends a family who is now caught in the middle of this new war that will have catastrophic events on all involved.

Set for a limited theatrical release on June 17th, partake in the new footage and poster below!

In this sequel to the popular Korean horror-thriller THE WITCH: SUBVERSION, the story moves away from a confined secret lab and out into the real world. 

 

After a mysterious girl emerges as the sole survivor of a bloody raid on the research facility behind the top-secret Witch Program, she is rescued by a couple who understands the grave danger the girl now faces. However, as the assassins tasked with locating and silencing the girl move ever closer, the lives of all three fall under increasingly great peril.

The Witch 2 stars SHIN Sia, PARK Eun-bin, SEO Eun-soo, JIN Goo, SUNG Yoo-been, JO Min-soo, LEE Jong-suk
and KIM Da-mi. PARK Hoon-jung returns to helm the sequel which sees another entry that emerges genres as we get a taste of action drenched set pieces mixed with horror tinges. The first film was an eclectic sampling of genre mash ups as well and boasted some insane fight choreography that Korean action cinema is known for and is quite unrivaled these days. The sequel looks to go even more tactical as elite soldiers are sent in to hunt the girl down.

June 17th is the theatrical launch but expect more home video release info to follow in the near future and as a bonus, check out the trailer to the original film that started it all!
