After delivering a countless barrage of adrenaline and high-octane action flicks, international martial arts star Donnie Yen is switching it up for his next film. The long delayed search and rescue thriller Come Back Home has finally released first look footage after being shelved due to COVID.
In Come Back Home, Yen plays an expert in search and rescue who must break into action to save his son. Fans expecting Yen to do his usual ass whippings will probably have to temper expectations as this one is being described as a drama about a father and son. Check out the first teaser below!
The above tease does mix it up with different genres as we get a sampling of the aforementioned drama laced with suspense, thrills and some disaster elements as well. This is definitely something different then Yen’s recent outputs.

Law Chi Leung helmed the pic which also stars Cecilia Han (The Golden Doll) and Jia Bing (Lost in Russia) and we are still awaiting an official synopsis and launch date for the film.
Yen and crew had just started production early in 2020 when they were forced to shut down due to the pandemic. Filming did resume that October and it looks like the film will release this year at some point.
