Who’s ready for a wedding where terrorists crash the party? Well even if you’re not, it’s coming as Saban Films has recently acquired a new Dolph Lundgren led action-thriller titled Best Man. The film is also set to star Luke Wilson and Scout Taylor-Compton.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Best Man will center on “on a remote resort amid a wedding where mercenaries take control of the property. That leads the groom, the best man and their best friend to defeat the terrorists and save the hostages. Best Man is produced by Michael Slifkin, Scott Martin, and Jack Sheehan of Archstone Entertainment and Daniel Zirilli.”
Shane Dax Taylor is helming from a script penned by C. Alec Rossel from a story by Zirilli. The cast also includes Nicky Whelan, Brendan Fehr and Scott Martin.
Filming is already under and the report doesn’t specify who will be playing what roles. More details are set to drop in the future and I’ll have them as soon as they are available.
Lundgren has been very active as of late having filmed both Expendables 4 and Aquaman 2 simultaneously. The action star also released his latest directorial effort Castle Falls back in December. That film also has him starring alongside Scott Adkins.
Best Man sounds like it might have humor to go along with the action. My money is on Lundgren playing the heavy here but we will wait for more details to surface.
Keep it locked and loaded right here for more to follow as we are your destination for everything action in 2022 and beyond!
