By: John M Jerva

Olga Kurylenko and Don Johnson are teaming up for the new action-comedy heist thriller titled High Heat. News coming out of Deadline is saying that Saban Films has recently acquired the film for North American distribution.

Per Deadline: Written by James Pedersen, the story takes place over a single night and follows Ana (Kurylenko), a meticulous chef with a hidden past, and her husband Ray (Johnson), a schmoozy serial restaurateur. When the local mafia shows up to burn down her restaurant as part of an insurance scam, Ana defends her turf and proves her knife skills both in and out of the kitchen.

Zach Golden helms the pic with Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman, Jesse Korman, Zola Elgart Glassman of Yale Productions serving as producers. The film just recently wrapped production.

Kurylenko has been hitting the bullseye in action cinema as of late having recently starred in such films as The Courier and Sentinelle and the blockbuster Black Widow. This one sounds like the actress will once again sharpen her CQB skills for the action sequences with Johnson bringing in the humor aspect of the film as he’s known for.
