Former MMA starlet turned actress turned controversial social media poster Gina Carano has had an eventual year. The Mandalorian star was unceremoniously let go from the series after some nefarious social media posts surfaced forcing Disney to play their hand.
Even though, Carano lost that coosh gig, she isn’t slowing down as her thriller White Knuckle is in development and we have word of another project that is already filming which is a western titled Terror on the Prairie. The film is helmed by Michael Polish who recently directed the Mel Gibson thriller Force of Nature.
Another big addition to the western is none other than I Come In Peace star Matthias Hues along with Travis Mills (Counting Bullets), Rhys Becker, Izzy Marshall, Jeremy Gauna, and Thomas White Eagle.
Carano has teamed with conservative Ben Shapiro and his The Daily Wire for a slate of film projects including this one and the aforementioned White Knuckle. That thriller has been pushed back to later in 2022 for a first quarter production and Terror on the Prairie will debut first with the plan to release it exclusively to members of DailyWire.com in the spring with Voltage Pictures handling international sales.
Carano has not done a western in the past so this one should be interesting to see if it’s strictly shoot ‘em up or if she’ll duke out some empty handed action. Hues will most likely play an antagonist in the upcoming movie.
Keep it locked and loaded right here for more on the project and White Knuckle as we are your destination for everything action!
