By: John M Jerva

Season 3 is yet to hit Amazon Prime but it’s already been announced that there will also be a season 4 to the hit series Jack Ryan which stars John Krasinski in this incarnation of the popular Tom Clancy CIA operative. Deadline broke the news recently and also dropped the 411 that Michael Peña has joined the cast for the upcoming season.

L to R: John Krasinski and Michael Pena

Per Deadline: Production recently wrapped on Season 3, and a premiere date will be announced later.

Season 3 finds Jack Ryan (Krasinski) on the run and in a race against time. Jack is wrongly implicated in a larger conspiracy and suddenly finds himself a fugitive out in the cold. Now, wanted by both the CIA and an international rogue faction that he has uncovered, Jack is forced underground, crisscrossing Europe, trying to stay alive and prevent a massive global conflict.

Peña’s role in season 4 is undisclosed right now but other cast members include Wendell Pierce as James Greer and Michael Kelly as Mike November.

Even though the series has taken the, well, Taken plot like the third film in the Liam Neeson franchise, Jack Ryan is a solid good time for those looking for a good action-thriller themed series. There’s no shortage of action or drama and I always welcome s good conspiracy themed plot line. Krasinski is also solid in the role so it’ll be interesting to see where it goes.

Keep it locked and loaded right here for a trailer debit and release date soon as we are your destination for everything action!
