Screen Media Acquires the Action/Horror/Comedy BLACK FRIDAY for a November Release!

By: John M Jerva

Ahead of its premier at Fantasia Fest this week, its being reported that Screen Media Films has acquired the action/horror/comedy Black Friday which features Bruce Campbell, Devon Sawa and Michael Jai White in a tale of the biggest shopping day in America gone horribly awry.

There is no actual date yet but the movie will be released in November in theaters and VOD which is fitting due to the plot but my money says it’ll hit around November 26th this year which is the actual Black Friday event.

On the busiest shopping night of the year, a group of disgruntled toy store employees must defend themselves from legions of holiday shoppers when a mysterious alien parasite turns them into monstrous creatures hell-bent on a murderous rampage.

Screen Media served up a nice little press statement to go along with the announcement:

“With elevated thrills, a stellar ensemble cast, and undeniable entertainment value, Black Friday is the kind of original content that Screen Media aspires to bring to our audiences. We can’t wait to unleash this clever horror film, just in time for its namesake holiday.”

Casey Tebo helmed the flick from a script penned by Andy Greskoviak. Also starring are Ryan Lee (Super 8), and Stephen Peck.

Fantastic Fest is set to run in Austin, Texas from September 23rd to the 30th so visit the site for more info! Be on the lookout for first reactions coming soon and keep it locked and loaded right here for the official trailer and more as we are your destination for everything action!
