Even though Liam Neeson has stated that his days as an action hero on screen are numbered, he’s still cranking out the adrenaline laced thrillers. Fresh off his releases of The Ice Road, The Marksman and Honest Thief which were all put out in the height of the pandemic, Neeson’s next offering is titled BLACKLIGHT which is poised and ready for a February wide theatrical release.
Per Deadline: “Neeson plays a troubled, off-the-books fixer for the FBI who is tasked with pulling undercover agents out of dangerous situations. He finds himself in the middle of a deadly conspiracy when one such agent questions the very people he is working for. The film co-stars Aidan Quinn, Emmy Raver-Lampman and Taylor John Smith.”

Briarcliff Entertainment is distributing the film nationwide which continues the trend of Neesom going string even during the pandemic. The movie is currently set for a February 11th of next year. Blacklight re-teams the star with director Mark Williams who helmed Neeson’s Honest Thief.
At 61 years old, Neesom is still proving that he can move with the best of them and it doesn’t look like he’s ready to give up making the high-octane affairs. Neeson also has a few other action titles coming soon which include Memory from Goldeneye helmer Martin Campbell as well as Retribution which was directed by Predators Nimród Anta. Both movies are expected to release also in 2022.
