This flew in under the radar and I’m sure it didn’t get much press because it’s going to be an unpopular reboot, if there is a popular one, but evidently Warner Bros. has filmed a reboot of the Arnold Schwarzenegger film Eraser which was released in 1996. I’m not sure why the powers that be felt that we needed it but here it comes and it’s called fittingly enough Eraser: Reborn. Catchy, eh?
Dominic Sherwood, who recently starred in Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments and Penny Dreadful: City of Angels will lead the new film which will be released on the Blu-Ray and VOD next year on their home entertainment label. Sources are saying that HBOMAX is off the table upon release.

Per Deadline: The film follows U.S. Marshal Mason Pollard who specializes in engineering the fake deaths of witnesses that need to leave no trace of their existence.
The film was shot on the down low this summer and is currently in post production with Jacky Lai (V-Wars), McKinley Belcher III (Ozark) and Eddie Ramos (Animal Kingdom) rounding out the cast. John Pogue, who helmed the recent Deep Blue Sea 3, directed.
Schwarzenegger’s version , I’m sure, will still be the popular choice and Sherwood definitely has some huge shoes to fill so I see this one falling by the wayside in a hurry.
A release is set for sometime in 2022 so keep it locked and loaded right here for more to follow if you care.
