Guy Pearce is one underrated actor and subsequently, you could make the argument that he’s an underrated action star as well having served up roles in Lockout and most recently Disturbing the Peace.
Pearce is back in action and this time he’s navigating a harsh urban jungle of the future in the new thriller Zone 414 which just unveiled a new trailer courtesy of Saban Films. Pearce is bringing his usual gravitas with him and he excels in these types of roles so expect some good old fashioned indie sci-fi action goodness with a hint of noirism. Check it out below along with key art to boot.
Set in the near future in a colony of state-of-the-art humanoid robots. When its creator’s daughter goes missing, he hires private investigator David Carmichael, to bring her home. David teams up with Jane, a highly advanced and self-aware A.I., to track down the missing daughter. Moving through the dangerous iron jungle, they rapidly piece together the mystery, uncovering a crime that leads them to question the origins of Zone 414 and the true purpose behind the “City of Robots.”

Pearce stars along with Matilda Lutz, Jonathan Aris and Vikings’ Travis Fimmel. Andrew Beard helms from a script penned by Bryan Edward Hill.
Be on the lookout for Zone 414 when it hits streaming sites everywhere on September 3rd.
