To be honest, I’ve never been much of a fan of Dune and to this day, I’ve only seen the original film once. I’ve always gravitated more towards other Sci-Fi properties but with the reboot directed by Denis Villeneuve, I’m keeping an open mind to it and especially since Jason Momoa looks like he’s going to kick a little ass in it.
A new trailer has finally surfaced ahead of the movie’s delayed launch and this new tease serves up ample parts action and drama. Check it out below.
A mythic and emotionally charged hero’s journey, the Dune movie tells the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence — a commodity capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential — only those who can conquer their fear will survive.
The all-star cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya, Chang Chen, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, with Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem.
Dune will finally hit theaters as well as HBOMax day and date on October 22nd.
