Action heavyweight Michael Jai White has officially announced on his Twitter feed that filming has wrapped on his latest endeavor which is a cool sounding WWII pic titled Come Out Fighting which packs a great cast including Dolph Lundgren and Fast and Furious alum Tyrese Gibson.
Check out White’s post below along with a group image from the set!
There is also on official synopsis to go along with the film that reads:
Late 1944 during WWII, the American army have raced their way through the countryside on the border of France entering Nazi Germany. Hitler, desperate to turn the tide, has deployed his secret weapon: an M-262 fighter jet. Lieutenant Frank Ross, a P-51 Mustang fighter pilot, encounters the Nazi weapon, and an intense aerial battle ensues. Frank is unsuccessful in the fight and is forced to eject from his plane, landing himself behind enemy lines. Waiting for the rescue team, Frank finds himself in the middle of a German ambush against an American Tanker Patrol. Leading the US Patrol is 2nd Lt. Robert Hayes along with his right hand men: Sergeant AJ “Red McCarron and Private Michael “Salty” Buttons, an all African American squadron serving the famed 761st Tank Battalion known as “The Black Panthers.” The soldiers are faced with racial tensions and must find a way to put their differences aside and band together to win the war.
Lundgren wasn’t announced as part of the cast until White’s post which makes this film sound even better and coincidentally, this isn’t Lundgren’s first WWII pic as he also starred with Luke Goss in War Pigs.
The film is helmed by Steven Luke who is no stranger to WWII films as he also directed War Pigs and he penned the script as well. He will also be helming Operation Sea Wolf another war movie which also stars Lundgren and Frank Grillo.
Keep it locked and loaded right here for more 411 to come on Come Out Fighting!
