We finally have some traction on the long gestating John Wick series called The Continental which is said to take place years before the events of the first film in the blockbuster franchise.
The series has been retooled into a special 3 episode 3 night limited event that will consist of each entry running 90 minutes in length. Each episode will also come with a whopping price tag of $20 million plus which is movie budget.
Another big move is that Book of Eli director Albert Hughes will helm episodes 1 and 2 which will be:
set 40 years before the events of John Wick in 1970s New York and follows a young Winston (played by Ian McShane in the original film) and his early days as the hitman hotelier.

No other word yet of casting news or any other 411 but this is certainly a step in the right direction as the Starz prequel series has been in development for a few years now.
Keep it locked and loaded right here as we are your destination for everything action!
