X VENGEANCE: JuJu Chan Szeto Enlists for Director Antony Szeto’s Assassin Action-Thriller!

I’m still on vacation for a few more days but as I take a rest, I discovered that a new action-thriller is in play that will headline Savage Dog and Hollow Point leading femme fatale JuJu Chan Szeto. The film, titled X Vengeance, will be helmed by Antony Szeto and was announced at Cannes Marché via Access Entertainment. The film will also star Chris Pang of Crazy Rich Asians fame.

Per Screen Daily: Ken DuBow is talking to buyers on the story of an assassin known as X who goes after the psychopathic crime boss responsible for the death of her younger brother. Robert Mammone and Chris Pang also star in the film, set against the backdrop of north Queensland’s beaches and rainforests.

The movie will hopefully start up filming in October in Australia with a projected launch date for sometime during the second quarter of 2022. Chan Szeto will also be seen reprising her role of Zan Hui in Fistful of Vengeance which is the feature length follow up to Wu Assassins from Netflix and will also bring back Iko Uwais, Lewis Tan and Jason Tobin.

Antony Szeto is helming from a screenplay penned by Janice Eymann with producers credit going to Tim Maddocks via Madd Films, Janice Eymann of Filmwork and Phil Avalon per Avalon Film Corp.
