Spent the day at the beach in the 100 degree sun and what do I have to come home to? A new trailer for Jolt which stars Underworld franchise star Kate Beckinsale in a whole new electric light. This one looks interesting to say the least so strap in and watch Kate get in touch with her killer instincts!

Official Synopsis: Lindy (Beckinsale) is a beautiful, sardonically funny woman with a painful secret: Due to a lifelong, rare neurological disorder, she experiences sporadic rage-filled, murderous impulses that can only be stopped when she shocks herself with a special electrode device. Unable to find love and connection in a world that fears her bizarre condition, she finally trusts a man long enough to fall in love, only to find him murdered the next day. Heartbroken and enraged, she embarks on a revenge-filled mission to find his killer, while also being pursued by the police as the crime’s prime suspect.

Helmed by Tanya Wexler, the film’s cast includes Bobby Cannavale, Jai Courtney, Laverne Cox, David Bradley, and Ori Pfeffer, with Susan Sarandon and Stanley Tucci.

There’s no shortage of violence here which includes ample scenes of Beckinsale kicking ass and also hooking a man’s privates up to a car battery so it looks like a woman scorned will really have her day and vengeance is a dish best served with electricity. Count me in!

Amazon Studios is set to release Jolt on Prime Video on July 23rd, 2021.
