Although the domestic trailer that hit today was awesome, we have more fun for you with the debut of the international trailer for Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins which features even more footage and a longer look at Iko Uwais as The Hard Master and Samara Weaving as Scarlett. Take a peek below!
(Original Post) Paramount Pictures has officially unveiled the pulsating full trailer for the long awaited Snake Eyes: GI JOE ORIGINS which features enough martial arts mayhem for even the most jaded fans. Henry Golding is the titular ninja commando and he’s joined by Andrew Koji as a very determined Storm Shadow. Take a look at the spectacular action and Golding finally suited up in full Snake Eyes bad assery!
Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins stars Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him. Based on the iconic G.I. Joe character, Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins also stars Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Úrsula Corberó as The Baroness, Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Haruka Abe as Akiko, Tahehiro Hira as Kenta and Iko Uwais as Hard Master.

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins is helmed by Robert Schwentke (The Captain, RED) from a script penned by Evan Spiliotopoulos. The film also stars a sensational international cast that includes Iko Uwais (Headshot) as Hard Master, Andrew Koji (Warrior, Peaky Blinders) as Strom Shadow, Peter Mensah (Jason X, 300) as Blind Master, Takehiro Hira (Lost Girls and Love Hotels) as Kenta, Haruka Abe (Kiss Me First, Cruella) as Akiko, Steven Allerick (The Expanse, Extant) as Father, Samuel Finzi (The Captain) as Augustine, and Simon Chin (Killing Eve, Outcast) as Hama who sounds like a direct homage to Larry Hama who created the character.
The mythology looks like it’s changing for a new era but I’m fine with it as a longtime fan and the jury is still out on how long we’ll actually see Golding suited up but from this new trailer, it looks fanboy righteous. The action choreography looks insane and the talent involved looks to deliver the goods.
Golding and Koji look dynamite together and the fisticuffs looks exceptionally brutal for a PG-13 affair. It won’t please some fans but I’m on board and can’t wait to see the full on rage when it hits next month! And I love how his visor comes across his face. A nice touch.
As an added bonus, Paramount had also issued a new Featurette that explores the complex relationship between Snake and Storm Shadow. Check it out below!
July 23rd is the date and only in theaters, so get ready for some Arashakage style blood letting as the swords are gonna fly in this one!
