I’m not much of a gamer so there are many properties that I’m unfamiliar with. I do know several titles but there are, of course, those that I’ve heard of but never fully researched.

Case in point, Borderlands is one such game and while it does look apocalyptically over the top, I’m a a novice. So I’m very much intrigued to check out filmmaker Eli Roth’s latest pet project and now we have some shadowy teases of the cast in all their glory below!

From left to right in the group shot above, the all star cast includes Florian Munteanu as Krieg, Ariana Greenblatt as Tiny Tina, Jamie Lee Curtis as Dr. Patricia Tannis, Cate Blanchett as Lilith, Kevin Hart as Roland, and Jack Black as the voice of Claptrap.

Lilith (Blanchett), an infamous treasure hunter with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home planet of Pandora to find the missing daughter of Atlas (Edgar Ramirez), the universe’s most powerful S.O.B. She forms an unexpected alliance with a ragtag team of misfits – Roland (Hart), once a highly respected soldier, but now desperate for redemption; Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), a feral pre-teen demolitionist; Krieg (Florian Munteanu), Tina’s musclebound, rhetorically challenged protector; Tannis (Curtis), the scientist who’s seen it all; and Claptrap (Black), a persistently wiseass robot. These unlikely heroes must battle alien monsters and dangerous bandits to find and protect the missing girl, who may hold the key to unimaginable power. The fate of the universe could be in their hands – but they’ll be fighting for something more: each other. Based on one of the best selling videogame franchises of all time, welcome to Borderlands.

Solo shots of the cast have also hit the web so you can view them below!

Unfortunately, we have a wait for Borderlands as the adaptation isn’t set to launch until sometime next year but color me intrigued for this one and I’ll be waiting patiently for some Mad Max style first look footage!
