Here’s some good news for fans of Cinemax’s former martial arts series Warrior. It appears that HBOMAX, which is currently streaming the first two seasons, has picked up the Bruce Lee inspired high/octane martial arts show for a third season. Andrew Koji, who will appear in the upcoming Snake-Eyes, heads the cast of the critical and fan praised drama.
Fans were hoping for a third season but that seemed in doubt after it was announced that Cinemax would no longer be doing scripted television series. Rest assured, the legacy lives on as a third season will happen which is even more welcoming because there was no resolution at the end of the second season.
Shannon Lee, daughter of the late, great Bruce Lee and executive producer on the show added:
Warrior is based on the writings of Bruce Lee and takes place during the 19th century when the Tong wars filled the San Francisco streets with blood and broken bodies. Season 2 also starred Kieran Bew, Celine Buckens, Olivia Cheng, Dianne Doan, Dean Jagger, Langley Kirkwood, Maria-Elena Laas, Hoon Lee, Christian McKay, Dustin Nguyen, Miranda Raison, Chen Tang, Joe Taslim, Jason Tobin, Joanna Vanderham, Tom Weston-Jones and Perry Yung.
No word yet on when production will start but keep it locked and loaded right here for more as we are your destination for everything action!
