After supposedly releasing last September only tio be shelved due to the pandemic, we have official word that Michael B. Jordan’s Tom Clancy inspired action-thriller is set to launch on April on Friday, April 30th. The movie will debut on Amazon Prime after the company acquired the film in a deal between them and Jordan’s  Outlier Society production banner. Instead of hitting theaters like initially planned, the filom is going the same route that many are taking and debuting on a streaming service.

In Without Remorse, Jordan stas as John Clark who is a spin-off character from the Tom Clancy series of books which featured Jack Ryan. In the adaptation, Clark is a former Navy SEAL who goes rogue to avenge his wife who has been murdered.

To go along with the announcement, we also have some official key art for the movie with the release date firmly on it so a trailer should be coming very soon.

The release of Without Remorse will launch the new deal. The Stefano Sollima-directed film follows Jordan (who also produced the picture) as an elite Navy SEAL who uncovers an international conspiracy while seeking justice for the death of his pregnant wife at the hands of a squad of Russian soldiers. His road to vengeance sees Clark join forces with a fellow SEAL (Jodie Turner-Smith) and a mysterious CIA agent (Jamie Bell) in a plot that threatens to pit the United States and Russia against each other in an all-out war.

In an article at EW, Jordan spoke about the excitement for the film and bringing it finally to audiences on Amazon along with future projects via his newly formed production banner.

“Bringing Outlier Society’s slate of film, television and multi-media content all under the same roof is an exciting next chapter for us,” added Jordan. “Amazon’s global and expansive reach offers us the ability to entertain and engage our audience in innovative ways, while maintaining our commitment to supporting a wide range of stories and storytellers. I’m thrilled to be kicking off the partnership with Without Remorse this Spring.”
