THE RESCUE: Check Out Intense Highlights from the New Chinese Disaster Film Now Playing in Theaters!

The new Chinese disaster film The Rescue from acclaimed Hong Kong action maestro Dante Lam is now playing in theaters and we have a special look at some of the highlights from the film. Following an elite rescue team that must set aside their differences when tragedy strikes, the movie boasts an incredible budget and action set pieces which Lam is know for. Check out the footage below!

Directed by legendary Hong Kong filmmaker Dante Lam, this trailer gives a small glimpse into the larger-than-life story of a Chinese rescue team’s death-defying mission to save survivors of a fiery offshore catastrophe.

Comprised of men of women from various backgrounds and led by a maverick captain (played by heartthrob and action star Eddie Peng), the unit must set aside their differences to face escalating challenges across air, land and sea. The film also boasts amazing special effects, with production designer Martin Laing (“Titanic”, “Clash of the Titans”) and special effects supervisor John Frazier (“Spider-Man”, “Transformers”) who helped to create this $100 million production and one of the largest films set at sea!

China’s movie industry is really stepping up their “A” game and Lam has been one of the most prolific directors with films like this one as well as the action packed military films Operation Mekong and Operation Red Sea.
