Here’s some good news if you’re like me and are curious about the new action-thriller Nobody which features Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk as the unlikeliest of action heroes.
Universal Pictures is officially moving up the release date for the flick a week early and instead of a February 26th launch, it will now open on February 19th. I know that’s still a long ways off but hey it’s something. There are no major releases set for that weekend do the move makes since. The film was actually supposed to hit on August 14th if this year but we all know what happened there.

In Nobody, Odenkirk stars as “Hutch Mansell, an underestimated and overlooked dad and husband, taking life’s indignities on the chin and never pushing back. When two thieves break into his suburban home one night, Hutch declines to defend himself or his family, hoping to prevent serious violence. His teenage son, Blake (Gage Munroe), is disappointed in him and his wife, Becca (Connie Nielsen), seems to pull only further away. The aftermath of the incident strikes a match to Hutch’s long-simmering rage, triggering dormant instincts and propelling him on a brutal path that will surface dark secrets and lethal skills.”
Directed by Ilya Naishuller, who is best known for the first person POV film Hardcore Henry, the script was penned by John Wick writer Derek Kolstad. The film also stars Christopher Lloyd as Hutch’s father and RZA as Hutch’s brother.
Expect plenty of John Wick style chaos to ensue as Kelly McCormick and David Leitch produces the film via their 87North production banner.
This is one trailer I cannot wait for and I’ll be very eager to see Odenkirk do his thing John Wick style. Definitely a candidate on my must see list for 2021. There’s going to be a deluge of new films next year as a majority of them were postponed due to the pandemic.
Keep it locked and loaded right here for more on Nobody!
