Well Go USA is starting to amp up promotion for the highly anticipated Train to Busan sequel titled Peninsula and now we have a brand new trailer with fresh footage and more insane action. Check out the goods below!

Four years after South Korea’s total decimation in TRAIN TO BUSAN, the zombie thriller that captivated audiences worldwide, acclaimed director Yeon Sang-ho brings us PENINSULA, the next nail-biting chapter in his post-apocalyptic world. Jung-seok, a soldier who previously escaped the diseased wasteland, relives the horror when assigned to a covert operation with two simple objectives: retrieve and survive. When his team unexpectedly stumbles upon survivors, their lives will depend on whether the best—or worst—of human nature prevails in the direst of circumstances.

The follow up looks more like a military Actioner where the original was a heart stopping thrill ride of immense proportions.

In anticipation of the release, in its homeland of Korea as well as the Cannes Film Festival, Well Go USA is pulling out all the stops and with theatrical releases light to say the least right now, this one should bode well if released soon.

Yeon Sang-Ho (Train to Busan) returns again to helm with a cast that includes Gang Dong-Won (My Brilliant Life) as Jung-Seok, Lee Jung-Hyun (The Battleship Island) as Min-Jung, Lee Re (Witch’s Court) as Joon, Kwon Hae-Hyo (The Crowned Clown) as Kim Noh, Kim Min-Jae (Urban Cops), Go Kyo-Hwan, Kim Do-Yoon, and Lee Ye-Won.

Well Go USA is hoping to release the film soon but all of that is up in the air right now so we are in a holding pattern. Hopefully after it’s Korean premiere, we will hear about more release info for the film which promises next level action sequences. Yeah, I’m sold and I would love to have a double feature with both movies. I actually haven’t checked out Zombie Actioners lately so hopefully these will fill the void.
