BLACK OPS: Elite Soldiers Must Climb or Die in the New Trailer for the Upcoming Action/Horror Film!

By: John M Jerva

I first reported about Tom Paton’s latest action-horror hybrid film Black Ops back in July of last year when the the film was then known as Stairs. A first look teaser had just dropped featuring some rather bad ass scenes of a spec ops team who are forced to face their worst demons while on a mission. Paton first made waves a few years ago with his feature film Black Site which ran the film festival gauntlet before finally receiving a wide release.

Fast forward to April of 2020, and Black Ops is poised and ready to be released this June. The film which merges action and horror will most likely hit Digital and VOD.

Samuel Goldwyn Films have released a brand new trailer with the film’s new title and you can check it out below along with a new poster.

Official Synopsis: Special ops squad “Hell’s Bastards” are sent to infiltrate a civil war to retrieve intel. The unit soon find themselves trapped on a never-ending stairwell forced to climb or die. To survive, they must revisit their past sins if they ever want to get off.“

The film stars  Toby Osmond, Simon Meacock, and Rachel Warren along with Shayne Ward, Phoebe Robinson-Galvin, Bentley Kalu and Samantha Schnitzler who headlined Paton’s Black Site.

Black Ops premiered last year at the Frightfest London Film Fest and received some pretty good reviews so I’m eagerly awaiting this one and in the meantime, I’m going to revisit director Tom Paton’s Black Site once again to properly motivate me for the mayhem soon to follow.

Paton also has the brutal and stripped down action flick 400 Bullets waiting in the wings which stars martial arts phenom Jean-Paul Ly. After making a few action/horror and sci-fi features, this one promises to be straight up hardcore action.

Black Ops will hit on June 12th and will certainly make its Digital premiere so check out the new trailer which feature equal parts fisticuffs, firepower and frights!
