Well I did it! Here is a post that will not mention that one word everyone has been talking about and it is actually a postive article as early fan reaction from test screenings and a new synopsis for Godzilla Vs. Kong teases a “A SPECTACULAR BATTLE FOR THE AGES!” This news certainly bodes well for the film and after the lackluster performance of Godzilla: King Of The Monsters, hopefuly this will get Warner Bros Monsrerverse franchise a jump start in the right direction.

The new synopsis reads: Legends collide as Godzilla and Kong, the two most powerful forces of nature, clash on the big screen in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into fantastic uncharted terrain, unearthing clues to the Titans’ very origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.

Early test screenings have also done well with fans who were lucky enough to see an early cut of the film have called it one of the best Monsterverse movies ever and with these two Titans laying the smackdown on each other, my butt will be planted firmly in a theater seat come November 20th when the film hits. Lets just hope that the craziness has subsided by then and the movie will make its release date.

The first synopsis for the film read: In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide as Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.

Godzilla Vs. Kong does also star humans if you’re interested and the cast includes Alexander Skarsgard, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Eiza Gonzalez, Jessica Henwick, Julian Dennison, Demian Bichir, Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, and Shun Oguri. Adam Wingard helms the pic from a script penned by  Terry Rossio (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN).

The movie was originally supposed to hit on May 29th but the filmmakers delayed to ensure that we get the bestmonster smackdown possible and with the world going ballistic right now, that was an even better idea.

As a lifelong fan of both of these iconic monsters, I am stoked beyond words for this film and I even love the chessy 60’s film that united these two back in 1962.

Hopefully first footage will come soon in the form of a trailer so keep it locked and loaded right here for more Monster news!
