Breaking! Christian Bale is All Bad in the Upcoming THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER!

By: John M Jerva

It looks like Christian Bale has indeed lived long enough to see himself become the bad guy as it is confirmed that the actor who was once The Dark Knight will now turn to evil in the MCU’s upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.

The bomb was dropped by none other than Valkyrie herself Tessa Thompson in an interview with ET where she stated that she has read the script and she and Hemsworth will be squaring off against Bale in an untitled role although some are saying he could quite possible Balder The Brave.

“Yeah, I’ve read the script. I can’t tell you much, but there’s been lots of exciting text messages exchanged between Natalie [Portman] and I.” Thompson said. “We’re going to have fun. Taika’s writing/directing. There’s some familiar faces, some new people in the mix. Christian Bale is going to play our villain, which is going to be fantastic.”

Bale, of course, starred as DC’s Caped Crusader in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy and just like Chris Evans, he will now be pulling double duty as another comic book character.

Thor: Love and Thunder will once again be helmed by Taika Waititi from a script penned by himself and Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. Plot details are void at the moment but returning cast members include Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson and Natalie Portman who returns as Jane Foster and will yield the mighty Mjolnir as she will become the female Thor.

This storyline comes from the line of comics The Mighty Thor by Jason Aaron where Foster gets hit with cancer and becomes the new God of Thunder. We can only speculate that this will in fact be the plot line for the sequel.

Thor: Love and Thunder will hit theaters on November 5, 2021.
