RED NOTICE: The Rock Confirms that Filming has Commenced on Netflix’s Action-Comedy Also Starring Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took to his official Instagram page to reveal to the masses that timing had begun on Netflix’s highly anticipated action-comedy which stars the Hollywood star along with Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds and Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot. Just like Reynolds’ enormous hit 6 Underground, Red Notice is a big tent pole for the streaming service. Check out The Rock’s post below!

According to Netflix, the film is a “globe-trotting, action-comedy heist thriller designed as a three-hander between Johnson, Gadot, and Reynolds. In the film, Johnson plays an Interpol agent tasked with capturing the most wanted art thief in the world. “Red Notice” refers to the highest and most serious of Interpol notices (there are eight) and concerns the arrest of wanted criminals. Meanwhile, Gal Gadot is to portray role of the world’s greatest art thief with Ryan Reynolds playing the world’s greatest con-man.”

Red Notice is being helmed by Rawson Marshall Thurber who also directed The Rock in Central Intelligence which also starred Kevin Hart. He also penned the script as well.

You might remember that Netflix won a bidding war for the film with Universal Pictures who was originally going to put the movie out but dropped the ball.

With the star power involved, this one has the makings of being a massive hit for the service and Netflix is certainly stepping up theirs game. I’m also eagerly awaiting any and all word on Zack Snyder’s Army Of The Dead which sounds viciously delicious.

Keep it locked and loaded right here for more to come on Red Notice!
