There is one hitch though and that is these warriors are immortal.

The film which is being produced through Netflix and Skydance is based on a graphic novel of the same name from creator Greg Rucka.
Per The Daily Mail: “Oscar-winner Charlize Theron, plays Andy, a 5,000-year-old Amazon from the Herodotus age of ancient Greece, who leads the warriors. They include latest recruit Nile, a U.S. Marine, played by KiKi Layne — who broke through in Oscar-winner Barry Jenkins’ film If Beale Street Could Talk Theron and her private army have fought battles over the centuries, so they’ve seen it all. But Theron’s Andy (short for Andronika) is weary and wants a break from killing for a living. Theron and her private army have fought battles over the centuries, so they’ve seen it all.” Things get even worse when the elite team of mercs discover a new immortal among them and their powers are exposed to the world.

Ngo will play a character named Quynh while Ejiofor will portray Copley, “an ex-CIA operative who hires the fighters for a rescue mission. He’s not immortal.”
Other characters in the film include Booker (Matthias Schoenaerts), Joe (Marwan Kenzari) and Nicky (Luca Marinelli). Harry Melling has also been added to the cast and will play Nor who is a sociopathic businessman.
The Old Guard is being helmed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and is being filmed in Morocco.
