Action fans wordwide have been partaking in some pretty awesome action offerings from acclaimed director Dante Lam over the past few years with his recent military action epics including Operation Mekong and Operation Red Sea. Both films were loaded, and I do mean loaded, with sensational action set pieces and now Lam is switching gears a little and is now taking on the disaster epic genre with his latest film title The Rescue which now has a new poster and trailer up for all to enjoy!

The Rescue is being described as an $80 million dollar blockbuster that tells the story of a courageous rescue at sea during a massive typhoon. The film sees Operation Mekong star Eddie Peng reunting with Lam on this one and it is set to release in China later this year. No other distribution news is known yet but that will probably change after the initial release.
