Just yesterday, big news broke that Frank Grillo was added to the cast of the sci-fi action film Jiu Jitsu starring Alain Moussi, Nicolas Cage, Tony Jaa and Juju Chan and now we have official confirmation that Grillo, who is lobbying to become the hardest actor in the biz, is now a part of the modern day western thriller No Man’s Land from director Conor Allyn. The film also stars  Jake Allyn and the two will play a father-son team who live in  the “real-life “no man’s land” between the U.S.- Mexico border on the Rio Grande and the U.S. “hard border” fences to the north.”

Per Variety, the plot centers on a “father-son vigilante patrol, which is thrust into chaos after Jackson Greer (Allyn) accidentally kills an immigrant boy. When his father (Grillo) tries to take the blame, Jackson flees south on horseback, becoming a gringo “illegal alien” in Mexico. Chased by Texas Rangers and Mexican federales, Jackson embarks on a pilgrimage to seek forgiveness from the dead boy’s vengeful father (Jorge Jimenez) only to fall in love with the land he was taught to hate.”

Cody Allyn also penned the script along with David Barraza Ibañez and producers on the project include Rob Allyn, Joel Shapiro, Conor Allyn and Jake Allyn. Grillo, Victor Almeida, while Simon Fawcett and Araceli Velazquez are serving as executive producers. No Man’s Land will be a production between Margate House Films, Bluegrass Pictures and the State of Guanajuato, Mexico.

Aside from thisfilm and Jiu Jitsu, Grillo will also be seen this year in Boss Level with Mel Gibson and Naomi watss which he also produced under his War Party production banner with director Joe Carnahan and will also be seen in Netflix’s Point Blank and he recently wrapped shooting on the sequel The Hitman’s Bodygurad’s Wife with Samual L. Jackson, Ryan Reynolds and Selma Hayek. A bust man indeed.

Jake Allyn is best known for starring in BET’s The Quad and will also be seen in the Blumhouse horror film Run Sweetheart Run which will bow in 2020.
