Last week saw the first reveal of footage for the highly anticipated sequel in the TERMINATOR franchise which sees creator James Cameron return as producer to hopefully set things right in the series. DEADPOOL helmer Tim Miller takes the reigns in the director’s chair. The trailer was met with the usual skepticism but I thought it looked great and to see Linda Hamilton return as Sarah Connor was just what the doctor ordered.

Now, a full synopsis has dropped for the film known as TERMINATOR: DARK FATE and it indeed takes place 27 years after the events in Judgement Day. Check it out below!

“27 years after the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, a new, modified liquid metal Terminator (Gabriel Luna) is sent from the future by Skynet in order to terminate Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes), a hybrid cyborg human (Mackenzie Davis), and her friends. Sarah Connor comes to their aid, as well as the original Terminator, for a fight for the future.”

Hamilton stars with series icon Arnold Schwarzenegger with Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes and Gabriel Luna also Starring.

Some people have asked about the fate of John Connor and Cameron did address it although he was rather vague about it. Cameron mentioned that John’s story would continue thriugh Sarah’s story but that is all we know at the time. I think this ios one plot point, they want to keep under wraps until the film is released.
