Casting is never my favorite part of planning a film. It can be stressful to find people to work for a production that is on a limited budget. However, when the right person comes along, it’s pure lightning in a bottle. With “Double Cross” that’s exactly what has happened. I’m proud to introduce Ethic DeJaun who will be playing the role of “Dominic” in my next indie action thriller.
Ethic DeJaun is a 23-year-old, 3-time world martial arts champion. With black belts in both Taekwondo and karate, he competed at the ISKA U.S. Open where competitors from over 20 countries came to compete. After his 3rdworld title, he decided to retire from competition to focus on his acting, which he has also been pursuing. This will be Ethic’s first time in an action-oriented role. I spoke with him about his feelings on the film and he had this to say:
Along with Ethic, other martial arts talent includes myself, Ezra Johnson (Black belt under Bill “Superfoot” Wallace) and 6th degree Black Belt Taekwondo master, Louie Cruz. There will be no short of martial arts action in this film. We will have our first stunt rehearsal on September 3rd followed by a table read and photoshoot on September 4th.
